X2 are delighted to confirm that for the sixth year in succession they are supplying a full nationwide distribution solution for the UK’s leading garden centre and leisure group. X2 deliver to over 150 retail outlets nationwide transporting garden products, Indoor and outdoor furniture as well as a range of promotional items to garden centres the length and breadth of the country.

X2 have been supporting this customer with logistics services since 2010 and have again renewed and extended this agreement for the 2015 season. X2 receive orders from the retailer, plan and optimise deliveries, allocate resource, liaise with the national distribution centre and book in deliveries with the individual retail outlets. The deliveries are a mixture of full and multi-drop artic loads, rigids, and 7.5 tonners, with the small pallet quantities and the outlying areas delivered by utilising their pallet network partner.

X2 produce daily and weekly KPI’s for the customer, attend review and planning meetings and are in effect an extension to their own supply chain function. This retail solution which is provided on a pay as you go basis is an offering which could suit many retailers who are not of a scale which can justify dedicated deliveries for each retail outlet, but where a pallet network alone would prove to be an expensive option.
